
About me:
I was raised in Woodland and graduated from Woodland High School in 1994. I attended college at the University of California, Davis where I earned my degree in Agricultural Systems and the Environment in 2000. I earned my Masters of Arts in Secondary Education and Mathematics Credential last May through the University of Phoenix. I completed my student teaching at Esparto Middle School in the Spring of 2005, and am now a Geometry and Algebra teacher at Esparto High School. I also am the JV coach for girls softball and the Freshmen class advisor.

Geometry Course Description:
This is an introductory course on geometry. The course is California Standards content based and emphasizes the understanding of geometric reasoning using proofs. Topics include basic geometric functions, graphs, reasonings, proofs, properties of parallel and perpendicular lines, introduction to trigonometry functions, along with types and properties of triangles, circles and other common shapes. |
Algebra 1 Course Description:
This is an introductory course on algebra. The course is California Standards content based and emphasizes the structure of the real number system and the algebraic operations. Topics include functions, graphs, rational and irrational numbers, equations in one and two variables, polynomials, exponents, quadratic relations, factoring, rational expressions, and radicals. |
Math Intervention Course Description:
This is a specialized course designed to assist students in meeting minimum entry-level requirements for High School. Students will build an understanding of the number system, fractions, percents, statistics, probability, measurement and geometry. The course is computer based and concepts are developed and used in a wide variety of problem-solving situations. This course will prepare students for the California High School Exit Exam. |
